Book 6: Shopaholic & Baby
GOODREADS SYNOPSIS: Becky Brandon (nee Bloomwood) is pregnant! She couldn’t be more overjoyed-especially since discovering that shopping cures morning sickness. Everything has got to be perfect for her baby: from the designer nursery . . . to the latest, coolest pram . . . to the celebrity, must-have obstetrician.
But when the celebrity obstetrician turns out to be her husband Luke’s glamorous, intellectual ex-girlfriend, Becky’s perfect world starts to crumble. She’s shopping for two . . . but are there three in her marriage?
Another great instalment to the shopaholic series.
This book had a lot of drama! Becky hears about this famous obstetrician who delivers celebrities baby’s, so she of course has to have her deliver her baby but when they meet her, she ends up being Luke’s ex girlfriend from college! So it gets a little ‘messy’ to say the least, when the obstetrician goes after Luke and tries to break Luke & Becky up!
The length’s Becky goes to is hilarious but of course, understandable.
The only thing that kind of annoys me with these books is the fact that details are always repeated in every novel. I guess it’s fine when you read them far in between, as it refreshes your memory, I’m sure that’s why Sophie Kinsella does this, but when you read them straight after each other like I am doing, it can be a bit annoying.
A small negative though..
Onto the 7th book: Mini Shopaholic.
