Bridget Jones’s Baby is the third movie released in the Bridget Jones saga and I am a little disappointed – only for the fact that I have read all three books of this story and when the third book was released (not that long ago) I was super excited because that meant they might do a third movie, which now they have but it’s like the third novel doesn’t even exist anyway! Nothing from the third novel is depicted in the movie whatsoever, so why a third novel was even made is beyond me. The first two novels aren’t exactly portrayed well throughout the first two movies either, but it stuck to the overall plot at least.
Putting that major downfall aside and pretending like I havn’t read the novel’s, I quite liked the movie – not as much as the first two, but it was great that most of the same characters came back for this one too. The main character which I absolutely love and this movie just isn’t the same without unfortunately didn’t return (Hugh Grant) but at least Colin Firth and Renee’ Zellweger did and I guess Patrick Dempsey was a nice addition aswell.
So if you loved the novel’s and want to see them come to life, you will be sadly disapointed but if you loved both other Bridget Jones movies, then you will love this one too.
Have you seen this movie yet? What did you think of it?
